Gargantua: Emissary of Inner Earth

Gargantua from Maria Sequeira on Vimeo.

Gargantua marks my discovery of the downtown Los Angeles Historic core, a beautiful but unkempt rise of “skyscrapers” from an era now gone. In playing with this nostalgic theme, I conceived of a b-movie horror spoof as a stylistic device. The anxiety of being taken over by a monstrous “other” underpins much of LA politics and strife.

Gargantua is an Adobe Design Award Semifinalist for 2012.
